5. What should I enter into Amount and Tax Rate?
Amount should be the total due including tax, but not including tip. The tip will be based on the Amount due minus the portion of the bill due to taxes. In order to avoid over tipping, the local tax rate can be entered on the flip view. If the total due includes tax and a service charge, you can enter the combined tax and service charge rate as the tax rate to avoid tipping too much.
